Inside Sales Contractor/Account Manager Position

With over 25 years in the business to business technology hardware industry, GBS is seeking independent sales consultants to join our team. Candidates must have experience in business to business sales and customer service. If you like to work independently and have a strong work ethic with superior sales, negotiating and closing skills, GBS may be right for you. We offer a professional but small and informal corporate atmosphere. We offer 25 years of industry experience and reputation, along with commission rates of 25%-40% on every sale you complete. You will work as an independent consultant in our office, using your own skill-set to offer technology and services to current and new customers, while we provide you with an office and equipment, and administrative, financial and other resources to help you succeed. Management, sales and marketing all work together at GBS as a team, sharing ideas, working, learning and achieving success together.
Independent Contractor Skills Required:
- Be self-motivated, goal oriented and dedicated
- Be consistent in independently developing and completing the entire sales development process.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in office, outlook, contact management (CRM), online research and sales documentation
- Phone and cold calling skills and the ability to push past rejection and consistently achieve sales and contact quotas
- Some knowledge of business technology hardware and solutions (networking, storage, wireless, etc) is necessary.
- Ability to generate sales opportunities through cold calling and leveraging existing market presence to provide steady sales growth with proficiency in business to business sales techniques

NOTE: This is an independent consultant, contracted position. Pay is commission based only w/limited advance draw potential and only offered after a 30 Day trial agreement and based on demonstration of proficiency in business to business sales. 90 day contract w/draw is offered only after the initial period. This is not a salaried position and GBS doesn’t offer insurance, vacation or any other benefits. Successful candidates must have prior industry experience and strong computer skills, professional phone skills, excellent organizational abilities and able to work with limited supervision.
Area / specialization: Business to Business Sales and Customer Service
What type of position: Contractor, straight commission and bonuses.
Compensation range: unlimited (no commission ceiling) 25%-40% commission rates
Desired experience: Business to business sales or service experience in the technology industry. Networking, storage or point of sale product knowledge.
Education level: High school or above
Questions to consider before you apply:
1. Do you have a proven track record in sales and a clear-eyed view of what commission based sales is?
2. Are you a hard-working, honest person that is confident and self-motivated?
3. Are you able to work without constant supervision?
4. Are you organized and articulate, able to research and build new relationships by phone and by email?
5. Do you need structure to work such as: an existing sales territory, or "key accounts" or "national accounts" assignment? Or are you a "go-getter" who likes to create your own accounts?
6. Are you comfortable with “performance based pay”(ie: sales=commissions)
7. Do you enjoy new challenges to maintaining/growing market share?
8. Have you ever been responsible for creating your own lead generation as well as converting leads to sales on your own? If so, how much of your time do expect it to take? Are you comfortable with cold calling? Are you self-motivated?
