GBS isn’t going green. We’ve always been green. We have recycled used electronics since 1986.
Our company philosophy has always been to re-use, repair and recycle computer equipment. When our clients’ equipment is no longer usable, we work with licensed electronics recycling contractors across the nation to dispose of their systems, monitors and peripherals responsibly. Most of this equipment contains components that can be broken down by type and sold to be recycled into new products.
GBS buys used, excess equipment for cash - allowing businesses to recapture some of the money they spent on that equipment. The money they recoup can be used to buy new systems, parts and upgrades while making it possible for another company to buy equipment they couldn't afford at list price.
Unusable equipment is broken down to base metals for recycling.
