D-Link PoE - DAP-2690 AirPremier N PoE Wireless Access Point

 

D-Link's AirPremier N Quadband PoE Access Point is an 802.11n wireless Access Point ideal for indoor deployment in business-class environments. Certified to "Plenum rating" level for its fire-resistant characteristics, this Access Point also supports 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE) and is Wi-Fi certified.

The DAP-2690 can operate at speeds up to 300 Mbps in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency ranges at the same time. Five different operating modes are supported, including Wireless Distribution System (WDS) with AP and Point-to-Multipoint bridging to create building-to-building links. Interesting features such as load balancing, multiple SSIDs and wireless QoS result in optimum performance. For security, the DAP-2690 supports WPA and WPA2 in both Personal and Enterprise modes. In addition, a Wi-Fi scheduler enables administrators to shut down the WLAN at certain times of the day.

Several options are available for management, including D-Link's AP Manager, any third party SNMP Network management tool, and the built-in D-Link's AP Array, a WLAN management tool accessible directly through the web based interface which allows for the configuration of up to 8 Access Points.
